There are an estimated 240 million children with disabilities worldwide. Like all children, children with disabilities have ambitions and dreams for their futures.Worldwide, these children are among the most likely to be out of school. They face persistent barriers to education stemming from discrimination, stigma and the routine failure of decision makers to incorporate disability in school services. Waliin is a comprehensive online platform dedicated to providing accessible and personalized education for children with special needs via connecting families with highly qualified special needs educators, mentors and coaches.
Our Story
Waliin is a partnership of highly committed individuals with bachelor degree to PhD qualifications in health sciences (medical sciences, nursing and pharmacy). The team has expertise in teaching at higher education, primary and secondary schools internationally. The team has strong presence in disability sectors and mental health space in Australia. Our platform is inspired by the severe lack of tailored special needs education opportunities for children living with different form of disabilities compared to those without disability, both in Australia and globally.
